Zorzal
Turdus falcklandii
It is 26 centimeters long. The top of its head is black with brown feathers across its forehead. The rest is dark grey with specks of olive. The throat is white with black stripes, the wings and tail are black, and the beak and legs are yellow. It is brown in the chest and tummy. The zorzal of Isla Mocha has a much paler plumage and a firm and long beak.
Distribucion
You can find the Zorzal T. f. magellanicus King from Chañaral to Cabo de Hornos, and in the Juan Fernandez archipelago. The T. f. mochae Chapman lives in Mocha Island.
Habitat
In gardens, orchards and pastures.
