Chagual
Puya berteroniana
This is a plant with long, arched and thin leaves displayed in small buckets with thorns on the sides. The leaves, when tender, can be eaten with salads. Its flowers bloom in October and display a beautiful turquoise color. The stem is used in construction and, also, as fuel.

In the Central Valley.
Habitat
In the hills slopes.
