Termas de Chillán
Located 134km away from Concepcion, Termas de Chillán Ski Center is 1650 meters above sea level. It is a vacations center where you can ski but also you can enjoy thermal waters and natural attractions.
To get to the Ski Center you should travel to Chillan in bus, car or by plane. Once there, you take the route bordering the river that goes to the east and drive for 82 km until you reach the Ski Center.
There are 28 tracks in a skiable area that occupies ten thousand hectares, where you can find the longest track in South America: Las Tres Marias, which is 13km long. In them you can practice ski, snowboard, heliski, randoneé, trekking, mountain climbing, horseback riding and mountainbike.
The difficulty degree in tracks is signaled with colorful flags: green (easy), blue (average), red (advanced), black (expert) and yellow (off-track). There are also special tracks for snowboard and its different disciplines.
There are eleven lifts (double chair, pull and double pull), where you can find the longest lift in the country (2500 meters).
Here you can also learn how to ski or snowboard, as well as perfect the way you already practice these sports, in the ski school. Foreign instructors give private or group lessons that can last an hour or a whole day. Kids between ages three and eight can be part of the mini-school, where they learn about ski and the mountain in a fun way.
