Itinerary

Departing from your hotel in Puerto Varas, we sail heading to islets located in the northern coast of the Chiloé Island to see a colony of Magellanic and Humbolt Penguins. This is the only place in the Pacific Ocean where these species of penguins can be seen, because they migrate after summer in Chile. Then, we will continue our tour to the Isla Grande de Chiloé (Great Island of Chiloé) passing by Mar Brava, a large lonely beach from where we will see the ocean in all its splendor. After that, we will continue to Caulín, small fishing village where to enjoy several flora and fauna and colorful houses that make of this a unique place. At last, we will head to Ancud to visit its market. Return to Puerto Varas.

Faq
The best time to visit Puerto Varas is during the spring and summer season (November to March), when the weather is warmer and outdoor activities, such as hiking and sailing, are more pleasant. Autumn (April-May) is also a good time to enjoy the fall scenery and less crowds of tourists.
The climate in Puerto Varas is temperate, but can be very variable, with frequent rainfall and temperatures ranging from 10°C to 20°C during spring and summer. Comfortable, layered clothing is recommended, including a waterproof jacket, hiking boots and hat or cap. Although it is an all-season tourist destination, it is important to be prepared for cold and rain.
No previous outdoor experience is necessary to enjoy most of the tours in Puerto Varas. Many excursions are designed for people of all ages and activity levels, such as boat trips on Lake Todos los Santos or short hikes to the Petrohué Falls. However, some activities, such as trekking to the Osorno Volcano or longer excursions, may require moderate fitness.
Although not always strictly necessary, it is recommended to book in advance during the high season (November to March) to ensure a place on the most popular tours.
