Itinerary
Departure from the Hotel in La Serena to the Elqui Valley, crossing plantations of cherimoya tree, papaya tree and vines, typical fruits of the area, making a brief stop in Embalse Puclaro built in 1999, which allows us to have an inspiring view of the valley.
We continue our tour heading to the town of Vicuña, visiting the Main Square and buildings of the area such as Bauer Tower and the church. Visit to the Pisquera Capel (Pisco Plant). The tour continues through a winding path crossing the Elqui Valley through typical villages of Paihuano and Montegrande, enjoying the beauty of the surroundings among the imposing mountains. Arrival in Pisco Elqui, visiting the church and the square.
Return by the same path, visiting Montegrande. Here is the Tomb of Gabriela Mistral, the first woman awarded by the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1945. This is her homeland, childhood home. The nature of the valley and purity of its children inspired many of her works, that come to life when we see the beauty of this place.
Return to La Serena.
