Departure at 08:30 am, to the former Humberstone and Santa Laura Saltpeter Works (UNESCO World Heritage), to learn about their industrial machinery,
where nitrate was made to be exported to Europe and the USA. Its dusty streets and ruins such as the market, grocery store, theater, school and more. Route
to the south to have Box lunch in the Tamarugal Reserve and visit the CEDAM (Environmental Education Center), of CONAF. Where the entire ecosystem of the Reserve is exposed. Then we will visit the Parque de Geoglyphs of Pintados, which is the largest concentration of Geoglyphs in the world, more than 300
geomorphic, anthropomorphic and geometric figures located in thematic panels on the slope of the Cerros de la Cordillera de la Costa, dating from between 900 1,300 years ago. Where we will cross the immense Salar Seco de Pintados to admire the Geoglyphs.

Return direct to Iquique, leaving passengers at their place of lodging at 18:30 hrs.

The best time to visit Arica, Iquique and its surroundings is during spring and summer (October to March), when temperatures are pleasant and you can enjoy the beaches and outdoor activities. Near Arica: Lauca National Park, where you can explore volcanoes, altiplanic lagoons and a rich fauna; the Chinchorro Geoglyphs (pre-Hispanic), and Chinchorro Beach, ideal for enjoying the sun. You can also visit the Salar de Surire, famous for its flamingos and desert landscapes.
Near Iquique: The Cavancha dunes and the Isluga Volcano National Park, where you can go trekking and enjoy the hot springs. In addition, a tour of the Plaza Prat, the Corbeta Esmeralda Museum, and the beaches of Iquique, famous for its relaxed atmosphere and its offer of water sports, are not to be missed.
