Itinerary
This tour start from your hotel in Santiago towards Maipo Valley to Santa Rita Vineyard, where we will be able to visit its wine cellars and taste its best wines. The wine cellar of Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Domingo Fernández Concha who brought French stocks giving birth to its worldwide known wines. Its cellar was awarded with the National Monument status and combine the traditional French and American oak barrels with modern winemaking techniques providing its wines with a unique aroma and body. Its manor, surrounded by a beautiful park, it was also declared National Monument as well as its famous restaurant “Doña Paula”, named after Paula Jaraquemada, owner of the Santa Rita's manor house 200 years ago. At that time, a number of historical events related to the Independence of Chile took place here. General Bernardo O'Higgins and 120 soldiers took shelter here after fighting the Spanish crown forces. Santa Rita's most famous range of products is called "120" in homage to these patriots.
