The Colchagua Valley welcomes you with mountains, awe-inspiring landscapes and vegetation, and a Chilean countryside atmosphere reflected in its towns and residential and vineyards architecture. The tranquility of a countryside life with unique landscapes are the background for a wine valley at its peak. The Colchagua Valley has, nowadays, a surface of 16,000 hectares of vineyards, which it is 20% of the total surface of vineyards in Chile. The main varieties are classic Bordeaux: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Carménère, being the last mentioned a stock only present in Chile, and mainly in the Colchagua Valley. There are also a few vineyards with white wine stocks such as Chardonnay and SauvignonBlanc.
Day 01: Santiago / Santa Cruz (Colchagua Valley)
Departure heading to Santa Cruz (Colchagua Valley) in order to carry out the Colchagua Valley Wine Route. Lunch at the Santa Cruz Plaza Hotel, located in the heartland of the city of Santa Cruz, here we will enjoy Chilean typical flavors surrounded by a countryside atmosphere. Later we will visit the beautiful Colchagua Museum where we will be able to travel through world history and the Americas history with unique pieces and several rooms. After that, we will visit the Santa Cruz Vineyard at the Lolol Valley. Located in a small hill over the beauty of the valley. The Santa Cruz Vineyard offers wine tasting of its best wines. Later, we will carry out a small tour on the cable car to the Indigenous Villages, a tour insitu meeting the cultures composing our cultural heritage. After that, we will visit the Automobile Museum, a new museum exhibiting important cars of our history. Accomodation at the Santa Cruz Plaza Hotel.
Day 02: Santa Cruz / Santiago
After a night to relax and a breakfast at our hotel, at the agreed time, transfer to Santiago.
