Itinerary
Departure from San Pedro de Atacama at 06:30 hrs. by mini bus to the border of Bolivia, passing through the immigration of Chile and Bolivia, once at the border of Bolivia at an altitude of 4,400 m.a.s.l. the change of vehicle to a 4WD jeep with a capacity of 05 pax is made. This first day the group continues the visit to the Bolivian altiplano to places like: Laguna Verde and Laguna Blanca; located at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano, continuing through the Daly desert where you can admire a truly surreal landscape, the pools of hot springs, the geysers of Sol de Mañana; intermittent sources of water gushing at a temperature of 90 ° C and fumaroles, cracks where volcanic lava comes out; to finish the day the Laguna Colorada, main nesting center of more than 30000 flamingoes of 3 species. These places are at an average of 4,500 m.a.s.l., where it is possible to contemplate the flora and fauna of the area, flamingos, vicuñas and other animals. The night is in the hostel of villa mar, in private rooms singles, doubles or matrimoniale.
We will leave our lodging in the morning to visit Italia Perdida, rock formations of different sizes in the middle of the desert. Also, we will pass by Vinto lagoon and the viewpoint of the Anaconda Canyon, from where we have a great perspective of the valley where the river that resembles this animal of the Amazon passes. We will also pass through the villages of Alota and San Agustin, before arriving in San Juan del Rosario. Here, we will have some time to stretch our legs after the day's ride, have dinner and then rest for the night.
Departure at 08:00 hrs. A general visit to the Uyuni salt flat (12.000 km2), Inca Huasi Island located in the center of the salt flat with a formation of calcareous rocks with remains of corals and sea shells, continuing to the eyes of the salt flat, Colchani town, we will pass through Uyuni before continuing the trip to Villamar, place where we will spend the night.
This day is only about the return from Villamar, so we will leave early from the lodge to start the way to the border. Here we will make the corresponding formalities and then we will continue to San Pedro de Atacama, approx. 13:00 hrs. End of service.
