Meets the need for an exclusive, European style, environmentally friendly, small hotel in this beautiful resort on the Pacific Coast of Chile. It is the favorite gathering spot for residents of Zapallar and a great place to meet and entertain friends. Inaugurated on June 19th 1993, Hotel Isla Seca grew from 24 to 38 rooms upon completion of the second building, in December 1998. The Hotel features a gourmet restaurant, an attractive bar and a modern conference room with capacity for 50 persons. The mission is to give full satisfaction to our guests by providing highly personalized service, making your stay both enjoyable and relaxing. The Hotel offers private parking and permanent security service. All rooms are elegantly furnished and equipped with TV, central heating, full carpeting, oversized beds and comfortable bathrooms designed to ensure your rest and relaxation. The Bar features the typical and much requested Chilean "pisco sour" and such specialties as the "isla seca", based on orange juice and rum, the well known "tequila sunrise". The restaurant specializes in freshly caught seafood and fish from the Pacific Ocean. In particular we recommend the crab cakes served in their shell, or a delicious carpaccio of smoked salmon; and as a main course: grilled sole served with an estragon sauce and steamed vegetables. The Hotel has a conference room and meeting facilities for 50 people and can provide conference equipment designed to ensure the success of meetings or training sessions of any kind. The worst: Como hemos estado allí hace unos años, por lo menos dos veces, creemos que ha perdido excelencia y un poco de nivel o categoría. El desayuno pobre.. y las alfombras de los paliers un poco sucias.

The worst: Very erratic in the details. We started calling it Torres Desperfecto (Fawlty Towers) every time a drink order took twenty minutes, or our room key failed (about six times a day or the desk staff just shrugged about our room problem. Which was bugs: mosquitoes and gnats - we were heavily bitten as we slept. The January nights are cool, but not cool enough to close the window. A fan would be a simple solution, but fans are not available. More obviously, why not put screens on the windows? Hate to sound like a gringo, but for $360 a night this is a huge failure. Also, as beautiful as the dining area was, the food was disappointing for the price.

The worst: Presión de agua de la ducha . Lo más malo y fuera de toda lógica, fue el lugar del desayuno, hubo un evento con mucha gente y al momento de bajar a tomar desayuno no había donde sentarse no estaba dispuesta ninguna mesa para los huespedes ajenos al evento, por lo que tuvimos nosotros mismos que buscar tasas limpias, servilletas , platos, etc. Me parece que faltó mucha planificacíón para que nuestro descanso no fuera interrumpido, se debiera haber dejado un espacio reservado para nosotros y los otros huespedes ajenos al evento, pasamos un muy mal rato y las niñas a cargo del desayuno tampoco les importó mucho que nosotros mismos armaramos las mesas, a unos extranjeros les pasó lo mismo...... lejos el momento más malo y que requiere que sean más planificados sobretodo cuando percibimos que hay extranjeros de visita, les recomiendo revisar este tipo de situaciones. Si están con eventos debieran avisar al resto de los huespedes y ofrecer otra alternativa de ubicación o simplemente llevar el desayuno a la habitación. Debe quedar SIEMPRE una persona de servicio recibiendo a las personas que bajan a tomar desayuno.
